Outing Description: An Intermediate Snow Climbing class taught by Timberline Mountain Guides on Mount Hood. Timberline Mountain Guides offers a 50% discount to Cascades Mountaineers members. Our cost will be $75.00 per person for a full day class. We have the option of customizing this class to the groups needs and experience. This is the perfect course for those wanting to learn safe techniques for climbing steep snow. The curriculum includes balance and footwork, use of ice axes and crampons, roped climbing techniques and self arrest.

Skills, Experience and Fitness Level Needed: Some previous experience using crampons and ice axe is desirable, also some previous self arrest training.
