Start:4:00 AM, Bend, at the Mt. Bachelor Park N Ride on Simpson
Elevation Gain/Loss: 4000’
Distance/Grade: 3 miles
Time: 6 hours
Outing Description: Experienced backcountry people only with a high skills, high fitness level and experience traveling big mountains during all conditions. Compass and Whistle and experience in using a compass is necessary. GPS good but does not take the place of a compass. Meet at the Park n Ride at 4:00 AM. Drive to Devils Lake and start from there. Need backcountry skis with skins or split board with skins or snowshoes. Be prepared for all weather conditions in the backcountry. ALL OTHERS ARE WELCOME, BUT ARE ON THERE OWN IF THEY FALL BEHIND.
